Applications opened on 22 September 2026 and close on 13 October 2026. The programme expects approximately 550 leaders for six-week US institutes beginning in June 2027.
Who can apply?
Applicants are normally 25–35 at the deadline; exceptional applicants aged 21–24 may be considered. Eligible citizenship and residence, English proficiency and J-1 visa eligibility are required. Check the official country list and residence dates.
Previous Fellows, US citizens or permanent residents, and certain US Government or IREX employees and relatives are excluded. Dependants cannot accompany Fellows.
Programme and selection
The current sectors include business and trade, emerging technologies, and governance and security. Interviews run from November 2026 to January 2027, with status notifications in February or March.
