Michigan State’s official international scholarship page lists six annual non-resident award levels: President’s Award $18,000; Provost’s Award $15,000; Dean’s Award $12,000; 1855 Scholarship $9,000; Beaumont Tower Scholarship $5,000; and Global Community Scholars Scholarship $3,000. These replace the older amounts in this guide.
Who is considered?
These awards serve incoming first-year students with non-U.S. residency status. Admission normally provides consideration unless an award states otherwise. Consideration does not guarantee funding; scholarships are limited. Non-resident decisions are released by mid-February.
Fall 2027 deadlines
Submit the application and all materials by 1 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET, selecting Early Action, for maximum scholarship consideration and an initial decision by 15 January. Regular admission has a 1 February priority date and 1 April final date. Read official dates and requirements.
Budget before accepting
These are partial awards. Check renewal, duration and stacking rules and remaining tuition, housing and other expenses. Honors College and study-abroad awards have separate conditions; their former estimates are outside this review.
