King-Morgridge provides four years/eight semesters of tuition and fees, room and board, health insurance, airfare and a miscellaneous-expense stipend. Six students are selected annually. See the official Fall 2027 instructions.
Check eligibility
Applicants must seek their first undergraduate degree with no prior tertiary education at another institution, demonstrate high financial need and commitment to poverty alleviation, and plan to return home after graduation. The school credential must come from an institution in a listed eligible country. Check the official country list rather than assuming citizenship alone qualifies.
The diploma must date from 1 November 2023 or later, or be expected before 1 August 2027 for final-year students.
Submit both applications
Apply for UW–Madison Early Action by 1 November 2026, meeting its materials requirements, and submit the separate WiSH scholarship application by 15 November 2026. Only Early Action admits qualify. The scholarship application includes eligibility questions and a 500–700 word essay. Deadline extensions are unavailable.
Confirm individual credential eligibility and award terms with the programme; funding is highly selective.
