New applications are temporarily paused. MPOWER’s current Women in STEM scholarship page says it has reached its 2026 funding capacity and is not accepting new applications.
Why the December date is not an open call
The page retains older terms ending December 31, 2026. That date does not override the prominent pause notice. A future opening is not confirmed.
Programme background
The programme is aimed at eligible women pursuing full-time STEM study at supported institutions in the US or Canada, with the required immigration status. Medical and nursing programmes are excluded from the stated STEM definition. Applicants do not need to borrow from MPOWER.
Next step
Check for an explicit reopening before preparing or submitting a scholarship application. A loan waitlist is a separate product and does not reopen the scholarship.
