Eligibility

✅ You Must:

• Be applying to start a new full-time graduate course at Oxford (Master’s or DPhil)

• Be ordinarily resident in an eligible country — the list covers 100+ developing and emerging economies (refugees/displaced applicants are eligible if their nationality meets the country criteria)

• Intend to return to your country of ordinary residence after your course

• Demonstrate a connection between your subject and your longer-term career objectives, and explain how your work will improve public life in your country or region

• Apply by the relevant December or January deadline for your course and select “Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme” in the Oxford application form

• Upload the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement with your application

• Be offered a place on your course from the December/January deadline round

❌ Not Eligible If:

• You hold a deferred offer to start in 2026-27

• You are currently studying at Oxford (unless already a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholar)

• Your course application is held over to be re-evaluated against the March deadline, or you are placed on a waiting list — such applications cannot be considered

• You are not ordinarily resident in an eligible country and your nationality doesn’t meet the criteria

Step 3: Prepare the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement

Step 4: Submit Your Oxford Graduate Application by the December/January Deadline
